Cry Lebanon
The World Bank has ranked the Lebanese crisis among the top ten worst economic crises globally since the 19th century, potentially placing it within the top three.
The price of bread, a staple food, is frequently revised upwards multiple times a month, while fuel prices adjust twice daily.
The ongoing economic and financial crisis that began in October 2019 has been further aggravated by two significant events: the COVID-19 outbreak and the massive Port of Beirut explosion in August 2020.
Among these three crises, the economic crisis has had the most substantial and enduring negative impact.
