The current status quo is characterized by a lack of desire for anything. There is a growing trend of people refraining from traveling and shopping in order to mitigate climate change. This leads to a sense of despair, although some individuals are beginning to contemplate ways to slow down the inevitable decline. Numerous warning signs are evident today, indicating that the entire ecosystem is suffering due to past mistakes.

Assuming that there are still individuals in society who are ignoring the signs, it is important to recognize that embracing a new way of life entails ceasing excessive consumption, reducing travel, abandoning selfishness, and actively fostering natural communities. However, these actions contradict the current interests of corporations and establishments. While purchasing electric cars may be presented as a solution, it is important to acknowledge that this is not a genuine fix.

The misconception that one can continue to believe in constant growth indefinitely, while ignoring the signs, is simply suicidal.
